🍅 Tomato Blue Cream Berry Seeds – SASC Non-GMO

Product Description:
The Blue Cream Berry tomato is a rare and exotic cherry tomato variety with a striking appearance and gourmet flavor. These small, rounded fruits start off with deep blue shoulders that ripen into creamy yellow and gold tones, offering a sweet, slightly tangy flavor with a juicy texture. Packed with anthocyanins (natural antioxidants responsible for the blue hue), this variety not only adds vibrant color to salads and dishes but also offers superior nutritional value. Ideal for fresh snacking, gourmet plating, and heirloom gardens.

Sourced from the Simply African Seed Company, these non-GMO seeds are perfect for South African growers looking to cultivate unique, high-yield cherry tomatoes with excellent visual appeal and robust growth in local conditions.

🌱 Growing Guide (South Africa):

  • Best Sowing Time:
Start seeds indoors from late July to early September (late winter to early spring). Transplant outdoors once the risk of frost has passed—typically from mid-September to October in most provinces.

  • Germination Time:
7–14 days at 20–25 °C. Use a seedling tray or peat pots with well-aerated seedling mix. Keep soil moist but not soggy.

  • Transplanting:
Harden off seedlings before transplanting into the garden or containers. Plant when seedlings are 10–15 cm tall with at least 2–3 sets of true leaves.

  • Soil Requirements:
Well-drained, fertile loam or sandy soil rich in organic matter. Ideal pH: 6.0–6.8. Amend with compost and bone meal before planting.

  • Planting Position:
Full sun (6–8 hours/day). Avoid shaded spots to ensure maximum fruit production and color development.

  • Spacing:
45–60 cm between plants; 80–100 cm between rows. Stake or cage plants early for support.

  • Watering:
Keep soil consistently moist, especially during flowering and fruiting. Water at the base to avoid leaf disease.

  • Feeding:
Apply a balanced organic fertilizer (e.g., 2:3:2 or 3:1:5) every 3–4 weeks. Side-dress with compost or worm castings during flowering.

  • Harvesting:
Fruits ripen approximately 75–85 days after transplanting. Pick when fully colored with soft cream and blue skin for the best flavor.
