Growing guide (SA): Sow in spring (Sep–Nov) in shallow trays with cactus mix; lightly cover seeds. Transplant seedlings to sandy, well-drained sites in full sun. Ideal for arid zones like Northern Cape. Drought‑tolerant; water sparingly once established. Harvest fruits in summer; pads can be harvested young.
