Growing guide (SA): Sow in spring (Aug–Sep) in pots ~5 cm deep; germination in ~1 month . Transplant seedlings in full sun, well-drained loamy soil enriched with compost; plant 4–6 m apart. Water deeply during fruiting; moderate feeding. Prune lightly in early spring, major pruning in winter. Harvest late spring to autumn; figs ripen on tree.
